Dolce Vita Orient Express Reintroduces Luxury Train Trave in Italy

La Dolce Vita Orient Express Italy

Italy’s luxury train scene has entered a bold new era with the launch of La Dolce Vita Orient Express, unveiled in early 2025 as the country’s first dedicated luxury train under the Orient Express brand. From its inaugural journey departing Rome Ostiense Station on April 4, the train has quickly become a symbol of elegance, craftsmanship, and immersive travel.

Operated by Arsenale in partnership with FS Treni Turistici Italiani and Orient Express (an Accor-managed brand), the train encompasses nine passenger carriages, 31 cabins (including Deluxe and Suite classes), and interiors designed by Dimorestudio in homage to mid-20th century Italian design. Guests board from the sumptuous La Dolce Vita Lounge at Rome Ostiense, greeted by curated décor, live music, and refined ambience.

What sets the experience apart isn’t just luxury, but immersive itineraries blending slow travel, culinary excellence, and cultural discovery. One of the latest additions: golf-focused itineraries across Italy launching in October 2025. These routes unite scenic railway travel with exclusive courses such as Franciacorta, Royal Park I Roveri, Antognolla, and Terme di Saturnia.

Overall, La Dolce Vita Orient Express is more than a train — it’s a statement about travel as art and time. For guests seeking memorable journeys through Tuscany, Southern Italy, or across lesser-known landscapes, this is luxury on rails with intention, style, and substance.
